You decided to start washing, but the drum does not fill with water or fills with water suspiciously slowly, and the display shows the IE error? Let's figure out what it is and how to fix the problem.
An IE error means that the washing machine is too slow or not drawing water. Before calling the wizard, you can try to deal with this yourself.
The IE or Inlet Error error means that the LG washing machine for some reason was unable to fill with water within the allotted time. There may be several reasons: from the water being turned off in the house at that moment to serious malfunctions that require professional repair.
If the water supply valve is faulty, it must be replaced.
If the pressure switch fails, blow out the pressure switch tube. If the cause is not a blockage, replace the pressure switch.
In case of electronic controller failure, it will most often be enough to replace the thyristor or relay and solder the tracks. If this is not enough, the electronic controller may need to be replaced.
If there is no water, you should restore the water supply and also check the shut-off valve that shuts off the water supply to the washing machine. It may have been closed or not fully opened.
Another solution: unplug the machine for 15-20 minutes and then plug it back in. The error may be caused by a malfunction in the control unit.
