When error code F28 appears on the display of the Bosch electronic machine, washing does not take place, the program does not run, and water is not poured. This is not only unpleasant, but also involves calling the master. The washing machine's self-diagnosis system reports a malfunction. You can see the decoding of each code in the instruction manual. F28 means that the water flow sensor has broken.
When a washing machine knocks out a fault code, this is not always a direct sign of a breakdown. The reason may be a software glitch. Do not immediately rush to call the master. Sometimes it is possible to reset the error on your own. The main thing is to know exactly how to do it.
If error F28 appears, you should first try to fix it without the intervention of the wizard. First, try restarting the washer. Press and hold the on/off button on the unit panel for a few seconds. If everything is in order, as a result, the program will be reset. Following it, the error will also disappear, then the wash will start as usual.
If the fault code does not disappear, it is necessary to exclude a program failure. To do this, unplug the washing machine from the socket. Let it sit completely unplugged for 10-15 minutes. Then turn it on again and try to run the washing program as usual. If there is no error, then the software failure has disappeared.
If error code F28 appears on the washer display and attempts to reset it or restart the unit do not help, then it is worth calling the wizard to diagnose repairs and breakdowns. The reasons for the appearance of such a code may be the following:
Most often, the problem lies precisely in the flow sensor. Problems with it arise for various reasons - for example, the drain hose is clogged, there is no water supply, low pressure. All these factors do not depend on the washing machine; they are eliminated by the plumber. But if there are no problems with the water supply, then the flow sensor needs to be repaired.
