ERR5 error in Haier washing machine

When the ERR5 error appears on the display of the Haier electronic washing machine, this is accompanied by the failure of the set program. It starts as usual, but after a few minutes after the start it stops. It cannot be turned on again, since the fault code is lit, and there is no reaction to pressing the buttons.

Before the arrival of the mechanic, you need to try to fix the problem yourself. Error ERR5 means that water is drawn very slowly or does not enter the machine at all. The reason may be as follows:

• Low pressure or lack of water in the water supply,
• Shut-off valve closed or not fully open,
• The drain hose is kinked, pinched, or incorrectly connected,
• The mesh filter is clogged - you need to clean it you can do it yourself.

It happens that a fault code is knocked out due to a temporary failure of the control board. It is enough to reboot it to correct the situation. To do this, the machine must be disconnected from the network, let it stand for 10-15 minutes, and then turn it on again.

What damage can be?

If the ERR5 error does not disappear, this indicates such malfunctions:

• The valve responsible for the water supply has broken,
• The pressure switch is faulty - this is the name of the sensor that controls the water level,
• Damage to wiring or contacts in the filler valve chain,
• Failure of the control board (rarely).
