E58 error in Electrolux washing machine

When error E57 appears on the display of the Electrolux electronic washing machine, this is accompanied by problems starting the program. The drum does not rotate at all after filling with water, or rotates only in one direction, and then stops. It happens that it freezes in the middle of the cycle, sparks, stops before spinning, or spins too slowly.

You cannot deal with such problems on your own. You need to call the service center. Error E58 means that the current from the motor exceeds the maximum allowable value. It speaks of the following issues:

• Damaged wiring. It needs to be replaced; restoration is unlikely to help.
• Control module failure. The master resolders individual tracks, or, if repair is impossible, changes the entire module.
• Engine failure. Only installing a new one will help here.
