E54 error in Electrolux washing machine

When error E54 appears on the display of the Electrolux electronic washing machine, this is accompanied by problems starting the program. The drum does not rotate at all after filling with water, or rotates only in one direction, and then stops. It happens that it freezes in the middle of the cycle, sparks, stops before spinning, or spins too slowly.

You cannot deal with such problems on your own. You need to call the mechanic. Error E54 means that the first of the two engine reverse relays are sticking. This happens due to damage to the relay itself or contacts. The latter can be recovered. But if the problem is not in them, you will need to replace the relay.
